I’ve put together a list of 11 of my favorite kitchen gadgets and appliances that I love and use almost all the time. This list is also great for those of you who are just starting to cook and looking to ad a few more gadgets or appliances to your kitchen. I’ve put a variety of ideas from gadgets for under $20 to those appliances that are slightly more expensive but worthwhile investments!
UNDER $20
1.Ice Cream/Cookie Dough Scoop
This scoop is perfect for scooping out and portioning ice cream, cookie dough or muffin mix. One scoop is the perfect size for a cookie or mini muffin or two scoops for a regular muffin. My favorite part of this scoop is the release handle, which makes getting the cookie dough or ice cream out super easy!
2. Stainless-Steel Locking Tongs
I find myself using this tongs for just about anything from tossing salad to flipping meat in a saute pan. The locking mechanism makes them easy to store.
3. Stainless Steel Bench Scraper
This bench scraper is AMAZING! I use it to easily scoop up chopped vegetables or fruit to put them in a bowl, or pan for cooking.
I use these baking sheets for just about anything including roasting vegetables, making sweet potato fries, baking cookies, pizza or granola. The sides help to prevent you from flipping vegetables over the edge! It’s great for making my One Pan Salmon, Asparagus and Sweet Potatoes.
Silicone baking mats help prevent food from sticking to your baking pan when your roasting vegetables or baking cookies. They also great for making candy brittle or frozen treats like my Frozen Yogurt Cranberry Pistachio Bark.
6. Personal Blender with Travel Sport Bottle
This personal blender is used daily in our house. For less than $20 you have a blender that easily converts to drinkable cup for your morning smoothies. And it works just as well as those $100+ blenders! You can also buy additional cups if more than one person is using it, or if you don’t want to clean out the cup every day. Try using it to make any of my smoothie recipes.
UNDER $50
7. Spiralizer
This spiralizer is the easiest gadget for making vegetable noodles. My favorite part about this particular spiralizer is that it has a container to catch all the noodles. This spiralizer comes with 4 different attachments for wider or thinner noodles or for grating vegetables. I use it all the time to make my Shrimp and Zucchini Summer Noodle Salad.
I use my immersion blender the most for making blended hot soups like tomato or my Crockpot Butternut Squash Apple Soup. Instead of transferring a hot soup into a blender and hoping not to burn yourself, simply place the immersion blender into the soup pot and blend away! Immersion blenders are also great for making sauces, salsa, guacamole, pesto, or whipped cream.
$100-200
9. 6-Quart Crock-Pot Countdown Programmable with Stove-Top Browning
This is my go to Crock-Pot, perfect for those recipes that require sauting vegetables or meats. The crock-pot insert is stove top safe so you can saute or brown food in the pot then simply place the insert in the crock-pot to cook. This means one less pan you have to use! The crockpot also allows you to program the time for cooking.
In need of a larger food processor? This food processor works wonders! It’s great for making pie crusts, baked goods, homemade sauces, dressings or nut butters; grinding meat, fish or beans for burgers; chopping vegetables or nuts; making healthy treats and fruit and nut bars/balls.
