Who else is a nut fan out there? How about your kids?! My son loves most nuts and my daughter is quickly becoming a nut butter fan (still haven’t tried whole nuts yet). I’m always looking for fun new ways to eat nuts outside of in trail mix or on top of salad. The inspiration for this Chocolate Walnut Butter Toast with Bananas came from one of my favorite ice cream flavors, Chunky Monkey! Banana ice cream with walnuts and chocolate chunks, it’s amazing!
This Chocolate Walnut Butter Toast with Bananas makes a great light breakfast or snack! It’s also a simple recipe you can get your kids involved in making at home. The chocolate walnut butter can be made ahead of time and assembled when ready to eat!
Did you know? A handful of California walnuts is a versatile snack and can satisfy any taste preference, from savory to sweet. Regardless of your flavor preference, walnuts are the only nut to provide an excellent source of the plant-based omega-3, ALA (2.5g/oz). California walnuts contain protein (4g/oz) and fiber (2g/oz) and are the only nut to contain an excellent source of plant-based omega-3 ALA (2.5g/oz).
