Ever tried Wild Blueberries? They are packed with delicious blueberry flavor and nutrients! Wild blueberries’ diverse growing environment allows them to have their intense blueberry flavor and 2x the antioxidants of conventionally grown blueberries. Research has linked consumption of wild blueberries to potential health benefits including gut health, diabetes, cancer and brain health. Now that’s a super food if you ask me!

For my power smoothie I have combined the health benefits of blueberries with two other super foods, chocolate and peanut butter! Your first thought might be; why blueberries, chocolate and peanut butter? That’s a weird combination. But just wait! I can’t take all the credit for coming up with this combination. It was my husband who first tried it blended in a frozen yogurt. I was hesitant to try it at first, but boy was it delish! The blueberries come in with a unique sweet and tart flavor.  Then you get the rich chocolate and peanut butter flavor. The addition of chocolate also helps kick up the antioxidant profile while the peanut butter adds in heart healthy fats and protein. For more protein and a creamy texture I added in protein powder and milk. I also added in chia seeds for additional fiber, omega-3 fatty acids and protein. This power smoothie definitely lives up to its name.  It’s packed with 26 grams of protein, 8 grams of fiber and 8g of heart healthy unsaturated fatty acids. It’s perfect for breakfast or a snack after an intense work.
