Intrigued by the new craze around oat milk and banana milk? How about making it yourself and combine the two for your very own homemade Banana Oat Milk?! Perfect for sipping, adding to coffee or cereal in the morning.
This year at FNCE one thing was for sure. There is a definite trend for alternative milks, beyond nut milks! Two of my favorites were Mooala Banana Milk and Oatly Oat milk.
You may have seen the trend of oat milk lattees and or the option to add oat milk in your coffee over the past year, well now you can buy it yourself! I was definitely intrigued because I am such an oat and banana fan and was pleasantly surprised how delicious they were. Both are free of added sugars and are free from dairy, soy, and nuts. Oatly is also fortified with calcium and vitamin D making it a great milk substitute for those with milk, soy and nut allergies. For those young toddlers out there with multiple food allergies and in need of a milk substitute, they also have a whole milk option.
Just for some fun I decided to take a shot at making my own banana and oat milk!
Another benefit of making it yourself? It’s so much cheaper! This recipe costs under $1 to make while a quart of oat milk can cost at least $5!
I’ve been enjoying the Banana Oat Milk in my coffee and with cereal and the little guy has been drinking it by the glass full! You can also easily substitute milk in a recipe for Banana Oat Milk like in this Pumpkin Apple Pie Overnight Oats recipe.
