Check out my review of fellow dietitian Kara Lydon’s new e-book, Nourish Your Namaste.
I recently got the chance to read fellow dietitian and yoga teacher Kara Lydon’s new e-book, Nourish your Namaste. The e-book is filled with helpful nutrition information, yoga poses and recipes to improve your digestion, immunity, energy and relaxation. Whether you’re a yogi or not this e-book is perfect for just about anyone who is interested in improving his or her health.
As a dietitian myself I am aware of the power of nutrition on your body but never really knew the power of yoga until I attended my first yoga class when I was pregnant. After my first class I was hooked! I felt so relaxed and energized (yes both!). I also found a lot of the positions and breathing techniques helpful during my pregnancy and labor. Needless to say I have quickly become a yogi and see the power that yoga has on my body. I have found Kara’s e-book to be the perfect guide to help continue my yoga as a new mom. Given lack of sleep and minimal time to get out to the gym myself I have found her simple step-by-step instructions perfect for home practice for those times I need more energy or just to relax.
I was most excited for all the delicious vegetarian recipes. Kara’s recipes always look and sound so delicious! The book includes 8 different recipes that all include ingredients to improve health. Here is a picture of one of her recipes for Immunity Boosting Buddha Bowl filled with kale, mushrooms, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, chickpeas and turmeric. Talk about gorgeous and mouth watering!
